nothing of dropping $50 at Target, then maybe stopping at Heinen's (the local upscale grocery store) to pick up an item or two. This Saturday, I picked out a few carefully chosen items at Dollar Tree and swung by Aldi's for a couple things.
On a more upbeat note (no pun intended), yesterday was our first rehearsal for the church Easter choir. Because we got a late start, we're only singing one song, and it's a familiar (to us) hymn: "He Arose". I had to stifle my giggles when I first saw what song we were doing...for those unfamiliar with the hymn, the chorus starts off with the line "Up from the grave He arose!". A few years ago at Easter, Sis sent me a picture of what looked to be her table set for the Easter feast. I texted back that it was nice and her response was "no no, look closer". So I did and...I had no idea what I was looking at. She said to look at the center of the table; I did and I saw some kind of flower sticking out of some kind of...pot? She pointed out it wasn't a flower, it was a ROSE, and the pot was a gravy boat. So it was...wait for it..."up from the gravy, a rose". <facepalm> I have never been able to sing the song since without thinking of that picture.
