she lived down the hall, we were all getting to know one another and she showed us pics from her grandfather's funeral where EVERYONE posed with the deceased.

i had NO idea that was a thing, so later when my Maine-residing roommate and I were chatting and SHE had no idea, we had to ask one of our southern suitemates who told us that yes, this is totally normal.
