afterwards, you'll see a lot of storylines that came straight from the book (at least in the beginning).

One thing I always appreciated about H:LotS: they kept it real. I watched Criminal Minds but my enthusiasm waned over the years, especially as they cooked up wackier and wackier ways to (serial) kill people and wackier and wackier reasons WHY. It was all so inorganic by the end.
