I hope you and your dad have taken legal steps to protect your inheritance. So many people lose everything in their last year of life if they need expensive medical care and/or a nursing home. At that point, it’s too late to take legal steps to protect your dad’s assets like the house.
This is something Dad simply will not address no matter how many times I (gently) bring it up. I think it's because he's so firmly convinced his congestive heart failure will kill him and will do so in one quick moment rather than in stages that will have him linger and accrue massive medical bills.
