ohhhh my GOODNESS, i knew my hearing was bad, and after the hearing test, it was revealed that i am missing an entire REGISTER of mid-lower sounds and most of the upper registers. ooof!
so the hearing aids are not quite up to 'prescription strength' i'm just at the initial setting but WOW!!!
did you know that when you move your hands on the steering wheel, it makes a sound? the air coming out of the office vents sounds completely different! and damn, i walked into the house and was surprised to hear how squeaky the floors are.
i am going to have to get a longer length of the little wire that goes from behind the ear into the ear canal, because my glasses and my hair keep rubbing against the microphone part and it makes noise in my head. Also, when i take my glasses off, the wire is kind of digging into the ear, making it red and a bit irritated. Not sure if i can make it the month till my follow up, but if not I'm sure it's a quick fix (i HOPE it is) at the office.
so far soooooo much better!!
