for ones mental health, because hearing loss has been associated with Alzheimer's and dementia, it can cause people to withdraw socially, etc.

plus it's just weird to hear PIECES of things but not be able to identify what it is.

and wow, my curtains make a lot more noises than i was hearing when I pull them back. LOL
