I decided to stay home and "git 'er done" yesterday, today was "do something fun and treat myself" day. After much debate, I drove to North Olmstead for lunch at McAlister's Deli (think Panera but with the added option of loaded baked potatoes) and a trip through the somewhat bigger than usual JoAnn Fabrics just down the road. In between, I stopped and walked through Great Northern Mall...I've only been there a few times, the last being just a couple years ago. Since then, they added a cool new store: Sweets and Geeks. It's part collectibles (comics, gaming, entertainment, etc.) and part candy store (plus a few salty snacks from other parts of the world). I picked up a bottle of huckleberry soda and a couple hard to find candy bars but resisted getting anything else because I was pretty sure I was going to do some damage over at JoAnn 😁 And that's just what I did; I treated myself to a few new strands of beads, a couple coolly decorated bobby pins, a small photo album for a yet unplanned and unrealized beach trip (I hope to go somewhere in October...), a new fake rose for Mom's grave, three sheets of fancy artisan paper and an advent calendar for bff for Christmas this year. It's seedlings; I Googled and read seedlings can be good for 1-6 years so it'll be hit or miss if anything grows. I was going to get some bottles of paint but even on sale, they were more expensive than I was willing to pay, especially since they were all pretty close to colors I already have.

Then on the way home, on an impulse, I stopped in at Ross Dress for Less and miracle of miracles, I actually found a dress I really like that will be lovely for Easter. Shh...don't tell my store manager. She's under the mistaken impression that I plan on buying an Easter outfit from our store.

Yep, today was fun. Tomorrow, it's back to starvation mode...
