we aren't going anywhere for winter vacation this year, either. we spent a bit of money on our TV room remodel and I didn't want to spend money to just 'go away' if it wasn't a location one of us weren't yearning for. and neither one of us could come up with a warm location we HAD TO see.
my dream vacation is Scotland, and I've probably planned a couple of trips with varying itineraries. the more i learn about Scotland, the places I want to spend time in have changed. I like to look at hotels or AirBnBs in different villages and cities. And let me tell you what a rabbit hole you'll go down!! the pictures, the maps, the reviews, i could spend hours and hours.
and the best part is finding out its a LOT less expensive that I thought it would be....making it seem like it could be more of a reality.
