the delivery person have to somehow confirm the delivery was received? Maybe not hand it off to someone but, I don't know, have the recipient send a text or something?
I mentioned all this to Dad and he reminded me of how back in the day <g>, the Amazon driver would come to the door, ring the doorbell and hang around for a while to see if someone would accept the package. Now they walk halfway down the driveway and practically toss the package to the front of the garage. I get it though...business has exploded as seemingly everyone is having everything delivered rather than step foot in a store, and drivers have a LOT more deliveries to make (I had this conversation in December with the UPS driver who delivers to my workplace).
