delivered...I'm guessing by your story that the person delivering them is not obligated to actually hand them over to someone? No matter...it's a shame you were the one who had to go through and toss out the spoiled/spoiling/possibly spoiling stuff and then didn't even get your pick of what was left. If I were your neighbor, I would've told you to have at it and then maybe pick through the remains after you'd taken what you wanted.
And yikes...like you, I hope the person who dropped $100 on food was reimbursed. The thought of eggs, which are up to $5/carton here and are becoming a little hard to get, just sitting there going bad pains me. Dad and I both eat, well, not a lot of eggs but more eggs than meat sometimes. We like our scrambled eggs (and deviled eggs and omelets and BLTs and pancakes made with an egg...)
