You can understand the concept of driving in snow, you can understand the mechanics, you can do everything right like going slow, putting your flashers on, ease into turns and steer into the skid...and you can still get into an accident. If you don't have to go out, stay in!
Two months later we got "snowmageddon" aka two blizzards and five feet of snow in one week, and she made a point of posting about how they stayed in the whole time instead of venturing out.
I get furious when people say "oh, the weather's terrible out there, I'm not driving in that...let's order dinner!". It used to be just pizza delivery drivers but with Door Dash and Grub Hub and Uber Eats, there's a lot more options for getting food delivered to your door. If YOU shouldn't be out in bad weather, why would you make someone else drive in it?
