interests then that’s beyond effed up. I’ve worked for Comcast for 21 years and have a lot of friends from work. The number of times someone went to HR and it resulted in corrective action and even firing is numerous.
I had a friend who was placed on CA for cracking the following joke in a team meeting. A woman came in late and my friend goes: Are you looking for a lap to sit on? Everyone laughed—included the woman. She later went to HR. He and I actually got into an argument when I agreed it was her right and sure she laughed because spotlight was on her. I told him don’t ask me my opinion if you don’t want to hear it!
Back when I was a people leader I had a male employee tell a pregnant female employee “Damn, that baby has your breast looking ample! “ She came to me crying. I wanted to give him a write up but HR said no. Instead he got a talking too that I had to document and he had to apologize. I was floored!!! But HR said he had a clean record so that’s where they wanted to start 🤷🏾♂️
