The people came today to rip off the screen room! They said it might take a day and a half. All dismantled, stacked on the far side of the yard, then loaded into the back of a pick up (minus a few pieces) in
one day. SO, we're already "ahead of schedule."
]The entire job (removing the screen room, framing, insulating, drywall installation, electrical, etc.) is supposed to take up to four months, but it could be done sooner. I seriously doubt it will be done before Christmas, but it should be done well before Valentine's Day. I love it!
The dogs hate using the side yard. One has to be dragged outside on a leash. I put a water dispenser out there and it became the swimming pool for hundreds of ants.
The house is a MUCH worse disaster than normal, and normal was never ready for its close up. We did the final "just get it out of the room!!!!!!!!!!!!" thing this weekend which led to piles of stuff and tripping hazards. The dryer is not working, so I had to put a drying rack in the screen room which does not fit well in the house despite it being about the most compact one we could get. (It opens and closes like an umbrella.) Hopefully a friend will come over tomorrow and stare at the dryer, whisper to it, and get it to work again. I can't reassemble it. <UGH> We have great plans for when the dryer is working. If it doesn't return to normal operations, we're going to get another used one on Facebook to last until we actually settle down. We'll see how that goes.
This just started, but I'm feeling behind and overwhelmed. I'll be glad when this is over, but I'm also thrilled that it's finally started.
