the other night and was dozing on and off in about 30 minutes. TBH, I've only seen the original Ghostbusters and bits and pieces of the Ghostbusters with the all female cast, so I'm missing some of the developments over the years. But honestly, the plot didn't hold my interest much (obviously) and both Annie Potts and Bill Murray seemed like they were just there for the paycheck and phoning it in (though again TBH, I may have been dozing during their better scenes).
Last night, I fell asleep watching The Outsiders. Now I read the book as a teen, and I was still a teen when the movie came out. At the time, I was really into it; now I think the movie was...kind of bad. The dialogue is clunky. Everything feels a little melodramatic. And I wish they hadn't cast all the popular (at the time) pretty boys to play the main characters because even dirtied up and sporting greasy hair, they all looked too refined to be playing rough and tough, from the streets teens. The movie felt like it was trying to be a Very Important Film and instead it came off...awkward.
