around 25 cafes. We’re a very cafesque neighborhood. You know we city folk need our common spaces outside of our homes to meet friends and neighbors in. And it can’t always be bars.
A number of our local Lake Erie beaches, plus a few other lake beaches in NE Ohio, currently have unsafe levels of bacteria in the water, so folks won't be able to cool down with a dip in the lake :-( Also, the Lake Erie beach closest to me--Mentor Headlands--is shut down for four days this week while parts of a new Superman movie is being filmed there.
That is unfortunate timing. Do many homes have pools in your neck of the woods?
That's generally how I feel when it gets hot. Unfortunately, we're supposed to be in the low to mid-90s all through this week and into the weekend, so not a lot of relief here :-(

Oooo, I would LOVE to have a cafe across the street from me! All I have is neighbors with a bunch of fancy vehicles in the driveway and two yippy, irritating chihuahuas usually barking at me from the front window.
I think chihuahuas are cute. 😸
