I'm glad you're getting support and are open to therapy. I'm sorry that you have to put up with passive-aggressive bullshyt because adults can't act like adults. I'm a therapist and I see this alot in so-called friends group: if two people in the group are fighting or one decides that don't like someone, the whole group turns against them, not necessarily because they have beef with the person being iced out. It's this whole "you can't be my friend if you're his/her friend" mentality. You expect that from kids, not adults.
It's also poor leadership on your supervisor's behalf that he allows this behavior. At the end of the day, you all don't need to be friends, but there needs to be a space of respect and professionalism. It makes for an uncomfortable work environment, and that's not okay.
Do what you have to do to take care of yourself. A mistake was made; you tried to explain, and you got shut out and disrespected? Eff that job, and eff them too!
I get along with my co-workers, but I figured out (the hard way) that work is work. We are not a family. We do not have to be friends. I go to work, do my job, eat my lunch, answer emails, maybe have a few laughs (maybe not), and go home. The ones who I don't speak too? I say good morning and goodbye, and if you ask me a work-related question, I'll respond. Period. I don't care about your kid's recital, your dog, your new house, or your plans for the weekend. Zero. I'll be cordial but you are not getting anything extra out me!🤣
