When I think of cheese curds, I think poutine, I think cottage cheese and I think the deep fried cheese curds served at Culver's, which is a Midwest fast food chain featuring an extensive menu of burgers, chicken sandwiches, fish, salads, homemade ice cream...and in a nod to their Wisconsin origin, deep fried cheese curds that are delightful. The first Culver's I ever ate at was over an hour's drive away...when they put one in just a few towns over, I was thrilled (I don't go there that often though...too many other options around).
