I do like Blackthorne. He’s a smart guy, first figuring out how to parlay the info about the Catholics trading in Macao to his own advantage, then the hissy fit you mentioned. He’s pretty good at figuring how to make himself valuable, thus keeping himself alive. And now it looks like he’s going to get his crew and his ship back.
I’m just glad he’s not the buffoon I first feared he would be.
