And yes, I’m finding Japanese subtitles challenging. I don’t even come close to speaking Spanish or French, but I have enough vocabulary to be able to get the gist sometimes. With Japanese, a character talks for ten seconds and the subtitle says “thank you,” lol. So it does require my full attention, and I still miss things here and there.
Same! I know a little bit of Spanish so Spanish subtitles are easier for me. And sometimes a character is speaking fast so the subtitles go by quickly. I have to rewind to get it all.
