It’s all new music, written for the film? Or is it a combination of some new music and some music from the Broadway production? I’ve read the novel and seen the original (non-musical) movie. I was thinking of watching this one. I think it is on Showtime. For some reason, I thought it was a filmed version of the Broadway musical with a new song or two added so they could qualify for a Best Original Song Oscar. I’m sorry you were disappointed in it.

I hadn’t seen a movie post for a while, so I figured I’d start one.
