Oy! It was not good. I think it might have worked if they just simply did a normal remake. Making it a musical was a huge mistake. Everyone sang beautifully but none of the songs were really memorable. I mean you do this remake and you don't include one of the most beloved songs/scenes: God's Trying to Tell You Something.

I would give it a C-. I don't care to ever see it again. It's 2 hours and 21 minutes. I FF some of it.
