I enjoyed it too but it's really nothing like Broadchurch.

Other than being a crime series, that is. But this show had more humor and wasn't as depressing as Broadchurch was.

I actually enjoyed from start to finish. For one, the character of Eddie, the detective they bring in from out of town, is one of the most hysterical dysfunctional characters I've seen.

It took me a while to get into the show because I thought the first couple of episodes had a jarring tone. One character was in a crime drama. One was in a baudy comedy. And everyone else was in a parody of crime shows.

Then, at some point, the different tones started to blend together much better and it wasn't as jarring.

They do solve the mystery, no word of a S2 but it definitely works as a limited series. It's on Amazon Prime.

Definitely but it's also set up for a second season which I hope it gets.

It's not my usual show at all, but the humour and the actors had me hooked.

Do you watch Our Flag Means Death on Max? The hilarious "everyone is queer" pirate comedy? The Eddie actress is in the second season.
