correct? We already have a shortage of both, and an additional 25% tariff will explode the costs as you mentioned below.

Anyway. A 25% tariff on both your largest trading partners is wild. I hope he sees sense, or the price of everything is going to explode.

Trump discussed tariffs as the answer to every economic challenge during the campaign (including how he would deal with child-care costs). If the U.S. had a functioning news media, they would have addressed the disaster the tariffs had on farmers, and the subsequent bailouts provided during Trump's first-term tariff blunder.
