correct? We already have a shortage of both, and an additional 25% tariff will explode the costs as you mentioned below.

Plus all I mentioned above. This is a very bad idea and will wreck havoc on both national economies. I'll remember this the next time an American tells me Canadians should keep our noses out of American politics. Would that we could treat you guys like you were Denmark. You aren't.

Trump discussed tariffs as the answer to every economic challenge during the campaign (including how he would deal with child-care costs). If the U.S. had a functioning news media, they would have addressed the disaster the tariffs had on farmers, and the subsequent bailouts provided during Trump's first-term tariff blunder.

I cannot believe that the companies who funded his campaign and rely on our resources are going to be chill about this. Particularly the energy resources.
