One Life to Live Update for Friday, 10-Mar-2006

Vicki gives Tess her letter from Nash. Nash writes that he left her because he loves her and he will return when he is able to help her and not hurt her. He tells her to believe in their love and him and she knows a pile of crap when she reads it. Nash has returned to Napa and so has the dear Mr. Reston. Reston is his usual nasty and threatening self. He tells Nash that he will make sure that Nash pays in kind for what he did to Claudia. Nash tries to convince Reston that he is, indeed, as shallow as Reston believes and doesn’t care at all for Tess - so there is no need to hurt her. Reston decides that Nash can lose what he claims to hold dearest – his vineyard – in an unfortunate, but devastating fire.

Tess tells Vicki that her hovering is creeping her out and that she, Tess, won’t be letting Jessica out to play any time soon. Vicki tells Clint that she is more worried than ever since Tess has become so strong. Clint decides it is time to go back to the Hot Spot and figure this out once and for all. Tess decides to drown her sorrows in booze but Natalie steps in quickly and reminds her that no one will let Tess hurt her baby. Tess is all out-of-sorts over this mess with Nash and she has never liked Natalie (who has?) so she quickly puts Natalie in her place and heads out. The guard at the door tries to stop Tess, but he’s way to easy to trick.

Evangeline and Todd try to get Todd set up to hide out in a warehouse downtown. When Vangie steps out Todd tries to call Starr but Evangeline catches him, grabs the phone, and plays it as a mis-dial with Starr. Evangeline reads Todd the riot act over his carelessness, but he is so angry with Spencer that he is getting sloppy. Vangie coolly reminds him that anyone he talks to is put in serious danger – and he needs to think of his loved ones’ safety over his own. Evangeline gives Todd a blanket and a stinky old coat she found at St. Jude’s and asks for his info on Paige and Spencer. It isn’t much. She heads to the LPD to see what they know and informs Todd that Rex is on the case. Vangie and Todd set up a signal-knock so he can let her into the warehouse when she gets back. Before she returns though, someone else comes in.

John runs into Layla in the lobby of the hotel and she informs him that she is moving out of Evangeline’s place so that the two of them can have their privacy. John is surprised. He tells Layla that he and Vangie aren’t together and that if Vangie has moved on he is happy for her (yeah, right). A homeless man approaches John and Layla asking for money - wearing the uniform jacket Todd stole. The man tells John that he found the jacket in Angel Square.

Starr is worried the police will kill Todd before he can prove he is innocent. Bo concedes that they might – and that is why she should turn her dad in if she knows where he is. When John gives Bo the coat he bought from the homeless man, Bo realizes that this must be what Evangeline was throwing away when he ran into her in the Square. John tells Bo that Vangie kicked Layla out and had a man over last night. Bo and John know that Vangie knows where Todd is.

Adriana and Rex arrive late for Adrian’s photo shoot and Giovanni is pissed. He tells Adriana to dump the partying criminal boyfriend and get serious or get out. She tells him that she will do whatever he asks on the job, but that she is with Rex and if he goes, she goes. Giovanni likes her spunk and decides to use it in the layout. They then launch into one of those long, useless, and musically horrific montages of Adriana modeling. Pluck your eyes out rather than watch it.
