Spencer is hittin’ that. That, of course, is Blair - and Spencer is the psychotic sociopath running amok through Llanview, PA. Blair swears it is her using him to forget about Todd. Spencer is, oh so, forgiving and comforting and understanding and… Blair is quite possibly the stupidest person on Earth.

The craziest person on earth, Margaret Cochrane, is cooing to TJ about how his Fairy Godfather is going to fake his daddy’s death so they can all be together in CooCoo Land. But even Margaret isn’t as stupid as Blair. She soon does the math and figures Spencer’s interests don’t add up in her favor. She decides that if Spencer tries to cross her and little TJ’s path to Todd she will make him pay. She tests him by asking details of his escape plan and is completely unsatisfied with his response. Spencer is a confident con man, but he isn’t used to dealing with the truly deranged.

Natalie is concerned that Cristian’s boxing aspirations are too “common” and that he risks injury to his hand - which could ruin his painting career. Cristian wonders exactly what painting “career” she is referring to - and why she is even interested. He reminds her that she left him and seems quite comfy with John at the moment. Natalie notes that he looked cozy with Evangeline and insinuates that Evangeline is only interested in Cris to hurt her. Cris is amused at Natalie’s self-importance.

John, meanwhile, is having a tete-a-tete with Evangeline at the police station. Both are waiting to see Bo. Evangeline is upset that Todd is refusing his right to appeal (as a matter of reference: all death sentences are automatically appealed). Todd believes he is sparing his family grief, but she feels he is making an enormous mistake. He is innocent after all. John is less than sympathetic to Todd’s plight. John figures one less baby-killer ain’t such a bad thing.

Paige is currently pleading with Bo to get him to convince Todd to appeal his case. Bo has no idea why Paige would care. She gives him some thin story about maternal/paternal instinct and such and bails out. Bo acts mollified, but clearly is suspicious.

Nash is pacing and annoying Clint who is waiting calmly for news of Niki and Tess. Antonio pulls his usual “property rights” sermon out and accuses Nash of having hot pants for Jessica. Nash wants to go out and search again but is told to “leave it to the professionals.” Right, ask the people of New Orleans how well that works out.

Niki is still trying to manipulate Tess into spilling her guts and throwing a little payback incentive into the deal. She thinks Tess should come on the road with her and find the guy who hurt Jessica all those years ago. Tess still doesn’t trust Niki’s motives, but agrees to go anyway. Niki figures when Viki realizes what she did to her little girl she will lose it permanently and Niki shall reign everlasting.

Paige makes a visit to Spencer and is surprised to find Blair there – in nothing but a robe. Spencer warns her to keep her yap shut and she must take it seriously as she fumbles her attempt to set Blair straight. She pretends she was only concerned about Todd’s lack of appeal and Blair buys it. Spencer is furious and warns Paige that she is very close to the edge now.

Bo tells John that Dr. Crosby was impressed that John has started opening up. Dr. Crosby thinks John should be given a test case to judge his commitment to the police department and to prove he can follow procedure. Bo offers John the task of escorting Todd to the maximum security facility where he’ll await execution. John thinks the assignment is beneath him, but agrees to it to get his job back.

Evangeline thinks that “a man gotta do what a man gotta do” and this makes Cris a little less embarrassed to try for the $1000 boxing purse. The two then head back to the diner’s kitchen to bond over ice cream and talk shoes.
