One Life to Live Update for Friday, 30-Dec-2005

The good folks of Llandview make plans to ring in the new year.
Spencer puts his plans for Asa’s New years Eve party in motion with the help of a snow storm-of course!

David notices motor oil on Spencer’s hand. Spencer then bullies his younger brother David into diverting Kelly from riding up to the lodge with Kevin. He creates a crisis in the palace kitchen which will detain Renee.
Adriana goes to the Palace to help Renee and keep her company on the drive up to the lodge. Just as they leave Kelly calls and informs Duke that she is in need of a ride to the lodge. Duke and Kelly get stuck on the road going to the lodge.

Renee realizes that she will be a while and does not want Adriana to miss the party. She does not want her to drive alone. Renee asks a very willing Rex to see that she gets to the party safely. They get stuck on the road.

Kevin who was driving alone to the lodge has car trouble -and is going to make a call at a pay phone. He is attacked from behind and given an injection that knocks him out. The attacker turns out to me Spencer.

Antonio brings Jessica back from California and a relieved Vicki welcomes her daughter back home. Jessica admits that she can’t live this way much longer. When Jessica leaves Vicki alone, Nicki Smith comes out.

Nash comes to the door and wants to see Jessica. Nicki tries to pass herself off as Vicki but Nash quickly knows who he is dealing with. Nicki. Nicki tries to get him to work with her but he will have nothing to do with it. She tries to get him to promise not to tell that he saw her. Nash tells Nicki that he is done making promises.

Jessica comes back downstairs and Nicki tries to pass herself off as Vicki but fails. She taunts Jessica until Tess comes out. Tess wants nothing to do with Nicki and runs off in search of Nash.

Clint has a drink with Dorian and asks her not to provoke Vicki because it might bring Nicki out. Dorian has her sights set on Clint and gives him her word. Later, Dorian goes to see Vicki-to inform her of the commitment she made to Clint. Dorian is actually talking to Nicki but fails to realize it. Nicki gives Dorian the green light to go after Clint.
Dorian goes back to tell Clint the wonderful news that they have Vicki’s blessing to start dating. Clint immediately realizes that Nicki is out again.

Christian signs over the $27,000 check to Evangeline as a retainer to help him fight the divorce from Natalie. Evangeline refuses the check and informs Christian that Natalie is, by law entitled to a no fault divorce. The other Vega bro, Antonio joins them and Antonio asks for Evangeline’s help in getting a restraining order against Nash. She informs Antonio - sorry no grounds. Nash comes to warn Antonio that Nicki is out-but Antonio's attitude prevents Nash from getting the message out.

Asa is frustrated that no one has arrived for the party yet! He decides to have a drink of bourbon from the bottle he received as a Christmas gift. He immediately passes out. Spencer enters and asks if Asa enjoyed his Christmas present.-The stage is now completely set for Spencer's plan.
