One Life to Live Update for Tuesday, 4-Oct-2005

After Tess has found out she’s pregnant, Nash asks her to join him in having some wine and toasting their future. But she surprises him by telling him she cannot drink. When she's alone, Jessica tells her tht she msut realize that she (Tess) does not want to have Antonio's baby. Tess needs Jessica to come out because Tess is not fit to raise a baby, especially if it's Antonio's. Tess needs to let Jessica come out so that she and Antonio can take care of the baby together. Tess tells Jessica that unless she can absolutely prove it's Antonio's, she's not going to be impressing Antonio or motivating him to be the daddy to another man's child. Antonio cannot even get custody of his own brat. Jessica tells Tess taht she and Antonio will get Jamie back and raise her with their new child. Tess asks Jessica if she really thinks she has what it takes to be a mother when she cannot even be herself.

At the station, John is holding two suspects for questioning asking them who is asking them to break the law for them. Rex Balsom hears that and, knowing that Antonio’s asked for his help, he tells them they must implicate RJ Gannon. The two guys refuse to talk without their lawyers and John tells Rex that if he keeps this up, then RJ will win his custody hearing. John takes the guy into the private room and tells him he doesn’t have the “good cop”. He has the “bad cop” because John is in a bad mood today. John reviews the guy’s rap sheet and tells him it dates back to before John was born. He tells him it’s definitely more than three strikes. So the guy needs to come clean and tells John what he needs to know.

After the judge has heard testimony from Antonio, Evangeline and Layla, at his custody hearing, she asks him if he has anything more to say that might be of interest to the court. After long silence, Antonio replies that there is something he’d like to say that might affect the court’s decision. RJ and Lindsay look at each other like they are assuming that he’s about to expose RJ’s illegal activity to the judge. Evangeline asks the judge if she may have a word with her client and tells Antonio that if he “slings mud” at RJ, he will lose, especially after falsifying his “family situation”. Antonio tells the judge that he believes that he has a very stable family for Jamie. He tells the truth about Jamie’s loving grandmother Carlotta, her deceased uncle Cristian whom he’d like her to know about, his little sister Adriana who is a wonderful young woman and loves Jamie. She asks if he plans to marry Layla Williamson. He, again, tells no lies, in admitting that he’s always wanted to marry and have a family “with the woman he loves”. RJ then stands up and vents. And Antonio and Evangeline are afraid that RJ has won. But has he? The judge then renders her verdict. But right before she is able to say it, John interrupts her to arrest Randolph James Gannon. Looks like there's only one place for Jamie to live now! ANd the judge sounds like she's not even changing her decision in awarding sole custody to Antonio


Bo asks Michael about the success rate of the procedure they are going to do on Nora. Marcie and Hugh also come to be there for Nora. Michael admits that he really cannot predict what will happen although Marcie tells him that Nora will have to be all right, won’t she?. Hugh wonders why Marcie is staying around the hospital waiting to find out about Nora. Is it Nora that she's concerned about? OR is she hanging around because she is still not over Michael?

Rex asks Natalie if she still dreams about Cristian. She admits she does and asks him if he still has dreams about Jen. He admits he does but they are usually nightmares where she is suffocating and dying and he cannot save her. She tells him that that is what happens in the beginning after you lose somebody. But in time, they turn into good dreams and you have hope. He asks her if she’s trying to convince him or herself. He tells her he could sense by the way she looked at Cristian’s sketch that she still has strong feelings for him. She admits to her brother that she could be 100 and still feel the same way. But that does not mean that she has not moved on. He tells her she does not fool him in saying she's ready to move on. She asks him if he wants her to tell him that she will never be over Cristian. He asks her if that is in fact the case. SHe tells Rex that he is doing something very similar in regard to his loss of Jen. She tells him that she's ready to move on and have closure with the memory of Cristian.

Right then,in Cristian's jail cell, he decides he needs to call Evangeline and take her up on her offer to reveal to Natalie that he is alive and attempt to get acquitted.
