One Life to Live Update for Monday, 3-Oct-2005

When Tess is alone in the winery house, Jessica appears in the mirror and tells her she better not drink or smoke because “they” are pregnant. Tess doesn’t want to listen or believe it. But she goes and gets a home pregnancy test and finds out that she is indeed pregnant. Jessica, having no clue what “Tess” is up to, doesn’t know who the father could be. And she’s very surprised that Tess would know a name to one of her “one night stands”, such as Nash. But Tess tells Jessica that Nash is not just another one nightstand. They are in love. Jessica tells Tess she knows nothing about love. Jessica tells Tess that it might very well be Antonio’s. Tess does not want it to be “Latin boy’s” and assumes that since goodie-girl Jessica used protection but she would not, then it would have to mean that Nash, and not Antonio, is the daddy.

The Vega vs. Gannon trial is underway. RJ and Lindsay assume that they will get full custody of Jamie. JR taunts Antonio about how no judge in their right mind will give him and his phony waitress/actress girlfriend custody. But right then, Viki comes in and surprises them and tells Antonio that she will testify in his behalf because she’s on his side, regardless of what happened between him and Jessica (which she knows is not his fault). RJ taunts her also. She tells him he’s sick and unfit to raise a child. Evangeline represents Antonio. The judge is impressed by what she tells her about her client and by what Layla presents in her testimony about her “relationship” with Antonio and Jamie. But she also remembers not long ago, a similar testimony from Jessica Buchanan as Antonio’s “co-parent” to Jamie. And she asks him where Jessica is and what happened to his relationship with her.

Still having no clue that Cristian is alive, Natalie tells Evangeline that she believes she(Evangeline) has put that picture Cristian drew of her by her desk in order to come between her(Natalie) and John. Neither Evangeline nor John tells Natalie the truth about Cristian.

Nora is in serious condition at the hospital. She has a seizure and Dr. Michael McBain discovers that she has had an anneurism. Bo asks if it will burst and cause her to have cranial bleeding or if she's going to die. Both Michael and Spencer tell him if she was not in the hospital now, she would already be dead. Spencer tells Bo that before they do the surgery, they should say a prayer and maybe notify next of kin for Nora. Not knowing who to call, Bo calls Viki and calls her away from Antonio's custody hearing.

In his jail cell, Cristian is able to figure out, from listening to Carlos Hesser talking, that he is the one who brainwashed him and put him on a ship. He finds out that Carlos’ motive is to take over the Santi fortune and to get revenge upon Antonio Vega. And he knows he only murdered Tic Santi because Hesser brainwashed him into doing it. And wouldn’t it ONLY be on a SOAP where a dude stuck in prison JUST SO HAPPENS to randomly acquire a NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR who is the cause of the very reason he’s in prison in the first place. Unbelievable!
