One Life to Live Update for Thursday, 22-Sep-2005

Todd remembers being alone with Margaret and going off onto the boat. And remembering that she cannot swim, he knew how to kill her. He awakens to the hear and now in his house. Starr asks him what’s wrong and tells him she knows hwat is going on. He tells her there is nothing to worry about. He somehow “knows” from a very reliable source that Margaret has given up her obsession and lost time. Knowing her father is unusually calm, Starr knows that something is up. Todd explains that because Margaret is pregnant by another guy, she’s come to realize that she cannot have Todd in her life. Starr seems to want to believe that but doesn’t seem to buy his story.

Evangeline is ready to pull out all the stops to represent Cristian. He tells her that there’s not going to be a trial. She needs to forget all about the DNA test and the trial and walk out of there. She tells him sorry. No can do. She reminds him he cannot be ok with John being with Natalie. He reminds her that is true. Were it not for John, he and Natalie could have had a future and maybe even a kid by now. She asks him what if those goons who kidnapped him came back. What if they went after Carlotta? Antonio? His friends? What if they came after Natalie? Does he believe that John could protect he from a force like that? He tells her that he knows that she just wants him to break Natalie and John up so that she can have John. She tells him that ain’t the case. John is “unavailable” to her. But she wants the truth to come out. He then seems like he might want to listen to her.

Marcie gets on her laptop and discovers that she’s gotten tons of emails from strangers about her “dating problems”. And she discovers that Hugh is the only person besides her who has read her journal. She tells him that he did not set this up. She does have actual readers who have sent her emails. Hearing that, she is completely baffled and tells him he better start explaining everything to her right now. Hugh tells her he’s merely BLOGGED her material (web-logged). And he tells her it’s encouraging that 528 people took time out of their lives to send her emails. That must mean that her material has some merit. She argues. But Rex, who is overhearing their conversation comes by and says he agrees. She was born to blog. He tells Marcie that she needs an outlet from her writing and interfering in people’s lives. Of course that starts an argument. But both guys encourage Marcie to start a public forum with her writing and her interests. She finally agrees and thanks Rex because now she can use her BLOG to nag him into living his life to the fullest, just the way Jen would want. Right then Michael comes in and asks what is going on. Hugh tells him that Marcie has had a great discover. She’s a little worried that Michael might not approve. But surprisingly, he tells her it’s a great idea and thanks Hugh for encouraging her.

Roxie talks to John about the “strange girl” who was snooping around his room the other night. He asks her to tell him about the girl. She gives the description of Layla. Michael informs John that he had a discussion with Evangeline about needing his help with some DNA. He finds out that Evangeline has been talking to Cristian Vega. And he knows that she knows the big secret.
