One Life to Live Update for Wednesday, 14-Sep-2005

While Cristian is in his jail cell, Hesser keeps harassing him about Natalie, remembering he’d heard Cristian talking in his sleep about her.

Natalies meets John at the Diner. Looks like they are ready to have a hot and heavy thing. But Natalie senses that she maybe needs to go and talk to Carlotta whom she can see is not happy about the situation. Carlotta admits that she believes that Natalie has betrayed her son’s memory by hooking up with another dude.

Tess looks in the mirror, senses Jessica and tells her she needs to go away. She must realize she is dead. There is no Jessica Buchanan. She is dead. Right then, Nash comes in and wonders why she is talking to herself. He asks her if she is talking to Jessica. Not knowing how to explain, she turns the subject around in asking him about his friend with the “date rape” drug. She leaves and he gets on the phone to find out some information about Jessica Buchanan. When she comes back, he asks her why she cannot “let go” of Jessica. She tells him she has. Jessica is gone and dead. But he knows that that AIN’T the case. She tells him she refuses to talk about Jessica and walks out the door. Again, Nash gets on the phone, calls his contact and asks what they’ve “found” about Jessica Buchanan.

Starr tells Todd that although he’s told her that Margaret is not carrying his baby, all night she was thinking about that sick woman. And she tells her dad if there is something he is not telling her, she’s old enough to understand. He tells her he realizes that. And again he asks her to never repeat any of the crazy things that Margaret told her to anybody. Especially her mom. Outside in the hospital, Dorian tells David that she is not ok about Adriana seeing Rex Balsom, the dude who planted a gun in her office. That is the reason why she lost her job at the hospital. Right then they enter to overhear Starr promising not to repeat something for her daddy. She asks Todd what he’s asking her not to do. It’s not ok because Starr was almost killed last night. Dorian asks to talk to Starr alone and Starr tells her she will not “tell” her anything. But Dorian tells her that her father is forcing her to keep secrets that could hurt her family. But Starr reminds Dorian that it is she who is hurting her family. She turned her mother against her father when he got kidnapped and is asking Starr to do the same. Dorian tells Starr she must realize that her daddy has had some dirty business with this mentally ill woman and she needs to divulge what she knows. When David is alone with Todd, he reminds him that he’s made many connections in prison. He cares about Blair and that might be his “angle”. Right then, that Jackie dude comes and tackles Todd and tells him he has a lot of “explaining” to do. He tells Todd he better keep his mouth shut about Margaret Cochran. Witnessing the dude threatening Todd, David tells him that he might be able to more effectively help him with Margaret. Starr tells Dorian she knows that she forged Viki’s signatures and got her fired from her position at the University and she refuses to be a snitch. Todd then comes in, tells Dorian she needs to get out and take that “cockroach” fiancé of her with her because Starr is as willing to trust her as he is to trust David. Alone with Dorian, David tells her that maybe, in the interest of Starr’s well being, she should not demand to know Todd’s secret. REMEMBER: Neither of them know that Margaret is pregnant. Starr does but believes (because she WANTS to) that it AIN’T her father’s child. Margaret knows that Todd was RAPED by Margaret but Blair demanded she keep her mouth shut and especially not tell David or else Blair told her she’ll never forgive her.

Hesser taunts Cristian about Natalie’s history with “older men” (meaning Mitch Laurence). And he says perhaps he will “look her up” when he gets out of there. He knows he’s pushing all of Cristian’s buttons and laughing. Hesser tells him that for a man who claims he’s not Cristian Vega, he sure gets worked up at his talking about another man’s wife. Cristian protests that he is not Cristian Vega. But Hesser seems to know better. Cristian tells Hesser that he killed a man and deserves to suffer the consequences. But Natalie, on the other hand, deserves to be happy. Hesser can tell that he is the real Cristian Vega.

Carlotta apologizes to Natalie for what she said but admits that she still sees Natalie with Cristian. Right then Layla and Antonio walk in. Antonio goes to talk to his mother alone. And Layla goes to confront Natalie and John for having their “cozy” moment and disrespecting her sister. Natalie tells Layla she’s a fine one to judge by taking a little girl away from her sister. Layla reminds her that Jessica disappeared on Antonio and he and Jamie can replace Jessica with whomever they want. She tells Natalie that Jessica devastated Antonio. He’s a good guy and deserves better. And she can give that to him. Natalie can judge all she wants, Layla tells her. But she and Antonio are together and will remain together long after John is done with Natalie. John comes and tells Layla she’s crossed the line. She tells him he may “defend his woman”. But she will “defend her man”. Natalie’s sister has shafted Antonio. And Natalie has hurt her sister. She leaves and Natalie asks John if some day he will wake up and realize he made a huge mistake being with her. He tells her he could ask her the same. She tells him the answer to that is no. But she can tell that he has something on his mind. Antonio tells his mother about his and Layla’s little “plan”. She tells him she doesn’t know what to tell him but will just have to trust him on this one. He then introduces Layla to his mommy. Carlotta welcomes Layla to the family, tells her family is the most important thing in her life. And she’s very protective of her family. Antonio and Layla return home. He is finally ok now that he's dropped the bombshell to his mommy and she's taken it better than he'd previously assumed. But Layla has a secret about where Evangeline is and what she is doing. She's digging up the big secret on Antonio's brother, Cristian.

Kelly tells Kevin that there are now “ways” for them to have a baby. He says that is “news” to him. Doctors have told her she cannot have children. But she tells him that Spencer knows of a new procedure and she’d like to try it. He tells her the whole secret about Asa hiding Margaret, how he had Carlos Hesser do his dirty work for him and how Blair covered for Asa under the agreement that he’d find Margaret. And he tells her the most shocking detail, that Margaret is pregnant with Todd’s child. Right then, Dorian, David, Todd and Starr and enter. Knowing that Kevin cannot be trusted to keep his mouth shut, Todd tells him that he has even more reason to find Margaret before anybody else does.

Nash, then finds out from his contact that Jessica Buchanan IS alive and kicking (NOT dead like Tess told him she was). ANd she DOES have a TWIN who was KIDNAPPED> Only they don't tell him that the kidnapped twin's name was Natalie.

After Dorian has told Todd she does not trust him, and still nobody can find Margaret, Todd gets a call from the sicko. WIth Dorian and Starr standing right next to him, he does not konw what to say to her.
