One Life to Live Update for Wednesday, 7-Sep-2005

Layla and Antonio play the “girlfriend/boyfriend” thing. Evangeline comes and sees them and asks what’s up. Layla tells her a story that she does not buy. And she informs Antonio that RJ and Lindsay are ready to move in together and make themselves look to the court like one perfect, blissful family. Now, it looks like Antonio has NO CHOICE but to convince the court that Layla is his lovely girlfriend who will help him take care of Jamie. After hearing that, Antoino tells Evangeline that that is the very reason why he and Layla have “this plan”. She asks them what about. Layla fudges and changes the subject to talk to Evangeline about John. Antonio then asks Layla why she first says she wants everybody to believe that they are seeing each other but she lies to her sister (who’s his lawyer) about their “plan”. Evangeline goes and talks to a guy whom she might have a business relationship with. He seems to be interested in her. Antonio asks Layla if they should not tell Evangeline about their “plan” before she finds out about it from somewhere else. She tells him she cannot because of John. Looks like that dude is trying unsuccessfully to hit on Evangeline. And she is not interested maybe due to having John on the brain.

John is with Natalie, remembering Christian telling him he will kill him if he ever hurts Natalie and revealing that he does not approve of John and Natalie being together. He also relives Christian telling him that he does not care who Natalie is with until John reveals she is with him. Christian becomes restless in his jail cell. The guard comes and tells him if he has any more outbursts he will go back to lock down. Right then, they “surprise” him with a new “cell mate”. And GUESS WHO IT IS! None other that SICKO-PSYCHO serial killer Hayes Barber! Hayes asks Christian why he’s known as John Doe. Doesn’t anybody know his real name? Christian says they may not. But he knows HIS name. Hayes Barber. Or should he call him Ivan Potter? Right then, Hayes KNOWS he’s in danger. His cellmate might kill him. And he yells for the guards to come and let him out of his cell. Christian is ready to kill psycho-boy for what he did to Natalie and reveals that he knows all about it. Hayes has no clue whom Christian is but tells him he should blame Nick Messina and John McBain.

Natalie tells John that she can clearly see that he is keeping many things inside. She asks him if she did that to him, could he accept it? They manage to change the subject and they end up getting it on.

Kelly walks in on Kevin looking to have a “business deal” with a woman and asks what is going on. He evades the issue. But she reminds him that they’ve previously promised to be completely honest and tell each other everything. So he must spill it. He tells her that he found out that Margaret his pregnant by Todd. Hearing that, Kelly tells him that it’s amazing that a baby can be conceived by Todd and Margaret but not by them. He tells her that’s the very reason he did not want to tell her. She asks him about the brunette who was just there. He tells her that she’s a realtor and he wants to buy a new house. She still has her insecurities about not having a baby. She secretly calls Spencer about a new treatment he has that could enable her to get pregnant. Kevin calls probably Todd and tells him he’s no longer going to lie for him about Margaret’s pregnancy.
Bo informs Rex that Jessica has left without a trace and may not even want to be found. Rex seems to know that the concern he has is that there is “trouble in Vega land”. Rex asks him why, then they must go after Jessica. Bo tells Rex no questions. He also tells Rex that they must be on the lookout for Margaret Cochran. Rex then goes out on the streets and asks a guy he sees if he knows this woman after showing him a picture of Margaret. Rex returns to Capricorn and sees Antonio. And Antonio tells Rex that he and Jessica have broken up and now he is seeing Layla.

Margaret is alone talking to her baby and reveals that Ginger is her cousin and helped her get the bullets for her gun.

Layla sneaks into John’s room and discovers his cause files on Christian Vega. And she notices he got charged with murder.

Rex and Bo find the place where the guy saw Margaret and they discover a baby bootie.
