One Life to Live Update for Friday, 7-Apr-2000

We start out at Carlotta's diner where Will tries to tell Christian that he can make it in jail, but Chris doubts that, and tells him how Antonio told him what they do to rich white boys in jail. He then tells Will that he wants Jessica but he doesn't want her to feel sorry for him to the point where she'll take that worry to the grave should something happen to him. Will says that he's going to talk to Jessica and leaves.
Jessica and Joey are at the hospital, where Joey is upset about a missing Kevin and Kelly. On her way to her room, Vicki passes within inches of Ben, who senses her presence but does not turn in time to actually see her. Lindays lays in her bed, watching tv and grieving over her lost child. She listens as a reporter talks about Bo's being accused on an unprovoked assault. The reporter dishes on how Nora is the ex-wife of both Bo and Hank and how she broke up his nuptials to Lindsay, but is now closeted with Bo in his office, leading the reporter to speculate that she isn't done with Bo yet. Lindsay vows revenge. They try to question Sam as he walks by, but only get a "No comment." He is on his way to meet with Jarod, his client. Back to Bo and Nora who is trying to get Bo to reveal exactly what it was that RJ said to him to cause Bo to attack him, but Bo is vague, and changes the subject asking Nora is what she had wanted to tell him before had anything to do with Lindsay, and she says "Yes." Finally, Nora gets Bo to reveal exactly what RJ said to him, and she responds that since it was definetly a personal attack, she can fight back. Back at the clinic, Ben's doctor reports that all Ben has is a slight corneal abrasion and gives him drops to use before the next appointment. The doctor tells Ben that sometimes the eyes play tricks on people, regardless of how good their eyesight is. Ben tries to believe that his sighting of Vicki is just wishful thinking. (But we know better). Vicki returns to her room and is reported to have had no complications. Kevin and Kelly arrive just then, and they apologize for being late. Joey questions them as to what happened, and Kelly reveals how she came to be trapped with Kevin. Joey looks suspicious. (At least that's what that look is supposed to mean.)Everyone leaves the room except Joey. Vicki asks Joey if Ben was at the clinic, and Joey says yes, but that he did not reveal that Vicki was there, which makes her feel better as she doesn't want Ben to see her this way. Sam's client is Jarod Hall, the grandson of Ed Hall, the former police captain of Lanview. He is up on charges by the board of ethics for lying about a previous drug conviction prior to his passing the bar and practicing law. Sam argues his case well, then Ed arrives and describes how difficult living with the captain of police as your grandfather and that he feels responsible for Jarod's difficulties. As Sam gives his closing argument, the camera flashes to Ben and Sophia, Nora, Melanie, Lindsay, Bo, and to Will &Jessica. The board considers what everyone, including Jarod says and then decide to reinstate Jarod. Ed then thanks Sam for his help, says goodbye to Hank and then leaves, on his way back to Chicago, telling Sam that should he ever need his help again, he knows where to find him. Back at the diner, Roseanne tells Christian that she has planned a wedding reception for them and that this is part of the deal for saving the diner. Christian is upset. He tells Roseanne that she blew her chances with him by trying to take away the diner. She claims that she did this to get her attention and because she loves him so much. (Hey, to be loved a little less might be nice.) She tells him that her lawyer told her that if Christian leaves the reception it would publicly disavow their marriage and end their agreement. She asks for just a few hours. At Crossroads, Sophia again looks at the part of the tape of Kevin and Kelly where Kevin reveals that his mother has breast cancer. She turns it off just as Ben enters. She asks him how Vicki is because Ben mentions that he was at the clinic. He becomes suspicious of the question, (he actually looks suspicious).He admits that he misses her and that he thought he saw her. Then he tells Sophia to look after the customers. Will goes to see Jessica who tells him that she is ready to confront Asa, but Will admits that he wasn't pressured to give the money to Roseanne. He tells her that he would have done anything at the time to keep her cause he loves her. Will then tells Jessica that whatever happens, he wants her to move on, but this frightens her. She begs him not to take the deal and then holds him close. Kevin, Kelly and Joey all show up at the police station, hoping for a statement from Bo. Joey again asks how the two ended up being trapped together. Kevin asks Joey to speak his mind, but Joey tells him that this is not the place. Kevin then suggests that they find a better place to discuss this, and all three leave and head for a quiet room, where Joey asks Kevin if there is anything to what Sophia says. He says that he will only ask this once. "Is there something going on with you two?" Lindsay shows up at Bo's office, and Nora asks Bo to leave them alone. He goes out and refuses to give a statement. Nora tells Lindsay that she didn't tell Bo about the baby, but that Lindsay should do so. She says that she's sorry about the miscarriage and that she just wants to make it better. She believes that if Lindsay tells Bo, that they could grieve together and maybe something good will come out of it. Lindsay asks Nora what's in it for her, but Nora just says that she knows how Lindsay feels, to which Lindsay replies: "No, you don't." Bo returns to the office and Nora leaves. He asks Lindsay if she has something to tell him. Nora asks Sam if they can work things out. Back at Crossroads, Ben asks Sophia if she knows where Vicki is, but she says to him"A better question is how come you don't know where she is." In between the two questions, is a flash of Vicki at the hospital, slowly picking up the fuzzy dice that Ben had given her(it's slow to show how much pain she's in and it's a believable scene.) It's also obvious that she is not wearing makeup. Quite a change! Next: Jessica tells Will not to give up. RJ says that the reception is turning out to be a great idea. Joey asks Kevin and Kelly if there is any truth to what Sophia says. Ben demands that Sophia tell him where Vicki is. Bo asks Lindsay if she lied about being pregnant and Lindsay denies that she lied. Hope you liked my update! I'm just sorry that there was no Max or Blair, as I really like them. But, this was a good episode.
