General Hospital Update for Friday, 23-Mar-2012

It was a sad day in Port Charles today, as it was the first anniversary of Jake Spencer's death. (Has it really been a year? Wow, where has the time gone?)
Luke tried to make some good of this tragic situation--and Elizabeth appreciated it. What else happened today?
John McBain's in town, and it turns out that he and Sonny go waay back; Sam, Jason and Spinelli are still trying to clean up the mess that Franco left and Sonny and Dante are finally bonding. Almost forgot that Olivia cut a deal with Johnny!
Starting off with Luke, we see that he's still at the former Jake's with Anna. Now known as the Floating Rib (remember THAT hangout from the 70's?), Liz has come by to say that she's touched by the gesture--adding that it's probably not appropriate to have her little boy share the name of the local dive bar.
Liz also thanks Luke for establishing the Jake Spencer Memorial fund in Jake's honor. When Anna thanks him later, Luke tosses off the best line of the day, saying that everyone's in trouble when he's the voice of reason!
On to Sonny and his relationship with Lt. John McBain. Sonny tells Luke that they go back to when Sonny was running numbers in Atlantic City, and McBain was in the FBI.
Seems that something happened and McBain was demoted to Llanview--and has never forgotten that Sonny was behind it, and now he wants payback.
Sonny's upcoming trial for vehicular manslaughter could be just what McBain needs--and Dante knows it.
Dante tells his father that even though they are on opposite sides of the law, he does not want him going to prison for something he didn't do and he will work to prove that his father is innocent--THIS time!!
Moving over to Jason's penthouse, Spinelli tells Jason and Sam that he has determined the New York City hospital where Franco's video of Jason as a newborn was shot. Jason and Sam decide to go to the hospital to get more information to see if any more clues are revealed.
Finally, Olivia. She goes over to Johnny's place demanding that they cut a deal. She will keep his secret of Anthony's location if he drops his blackmail of Steve for the murder in Memphis!
Anthony hears every word (and Liv knows it). After she leaves, he tells Johnny that he's going to make life easier for him and goes to the PCPD to turn himself in.
Will Sonny beat the rap? Will Anthony be run in? Tune in next week!
