General Hospital Update for Friday, 30-Dec-2011

It's New Year's Eve in Port Charles! As everyone prepares to ring in 2012 at the Metrocourt, the question is is he or isn't he? Is Jacks alive or not? And as Michael tells the crowd, seems like Carly's known that answer for awhile!
Anthony tries to take his relationship with Tracy to the next level, but she's not having any of it, Robin prepares to bid her family goodbye and from the looks of things, there's more than one man pursuing Windemere's mysterious blond lady in white.
Almost forgot to mention that Carly could also be dealing with tragedy in the New Year, but more on that later.
Starting off at the Metrocourt, Carly's New Year's Eve bash is in full swing. The place is full and everyone's having a great time, when Michael decides to make a toast.
He pays tribute to Carly, mentioning that she's kept the secret about Jacks all of these months. Put on the spot, Carly gets angry and defensive when Alexis and Sonny demand to know if Jacks is alive or dead!
She lies about it initially, but admits later that she kept the secret because she didn't want Sonny coming back to finish off the job.
Alexis, Sonny and now Kate gang up on Carly, literally driving her from the place.
And is he or isn't he alive? Jacks is very much alive, as we see him waiting in an airport for a flight to Port Charles.
Jacks pulls out his cell phone, which has a picture of Josselyn on it, btw and tells his daughter that daddy's coming!
Before this drama happens, Tracy arrives at the Metrocourt, thinking that she's going there to blow off Luke.
Suprise!! Luke didn't send her the diamonds--but Anthony did!!
Tracy blows him off too, and they both wind up in the same elevator--and of course, the elevator's stuck!!
Anthony decides not to waste the opportunity. He tells Tracy that he still has the settings for her diamond; pulling out a ring and trying to get down on one knee. Poor Tracy!!
Over at the Scorpio-Drake house, Robin and Patrick are preparing to go out for New Year's Eve, but Emma has other ideas.
She tells her Daddy that he promised her ice cream in 2011. Since today's the last day of the year, he better pay up!!
As they do that, Robin orders a car service, for only one passenger. When they come back, and Patrick is changing, Robin holds her daughter and tells her that she will always love her and that she needs her to know that always. It almost sounded like she was saying good-bye, which I think she was.
Ultimately, Robin and Patrick shared a quiet New Year's at home, which was probably fitting.
On to Windemere's Lady in White. As we know, Ethan has been pursuing her for some time and now it's happening outside of Windemere.
However, Spinelli has decided to find her. He told Maxie to help him pick out clothes to please a new woman in his life and when Maxie demanded to know what she looked like, he got a vision of her!!
Now for the New Year's tragedy. As an upset Michael leaves the Metrocourt after releasing the big bombshell, he walks right into ongoing traffic--and is hit!!
To make it worse, he was hit by JASON, who was coming home to Sam on his motorcycle. We see both of them lying in the snow, both seriously injured. Poor Carly--both men she cares the most for!!
That's about it for today. Will Jason and Carly survive? Will Jacks make it back to Port Charles? Stay tuned!
