It looks like we are getting closer to finding out who killed Lisa Niles--or are we? Sonny is preparing to confront demons from the past; Michael's inner Quartermaine comes out and Ethan finally meets the mystery woman who has been staying at Windemere. And Luke has to finally deal with the consequences of his actions--good and bad.
Almost forgot to mention that the star of this episode, without a doubt, was Monica, who had the best line and the best scene of the day!
Starting off at GH, Monica tells Robin that she has just come from an emergency board meeting. Robin asks why she didn't know about it and Monica tells her that she didn't know about it because it was about her!
Since 4 staff doctors at GH (including Robin) are official suspects in the Niles murder, the board has voted to relieve Robin of her duties, until she has been cleared--naming Monica as the acting chief.
Robin accepts the decision, even though Patrick and Steve protest loudly to Monica. Robin says that she was meaning to take a break anyway and promises a smooth transition.
After she leaves and the attitude continues from Steve and Patrick, Monica says "At least I'm the only person here who didn't have sex with Lisa Niles!!" GOOD ONE!!! I'm SO glad Monica's back!!
And while we're on the subject, Alexis has agreed to Mac's request to represent both Robin and Maxie should they be charged in the murder--and it's a good thing for Robin, because she is starting to look very guilty. She tells Patrick that there's something bad she has to tell him...
On to Sonny, who is preparing to enter the brownstone that he grew up in in Bensonhurst with Kate. He is being forced to deal with the painful memories of being locked in a closet by his stepfather and can only sit on the stoop at first.
He tells Kate that he can do it and adds that he will meet her at the Rockefeller Center ice rink as he opens the door...
And Michael proved today that genes don't fall far from the tree. Tracy finds him at the Metrocourt and tells him that a big ELQ deal might tank, because the customer only wants to deal with Michael!
The deal is that if he helps, Abby keeps her job--and Michael tells his aunt that he's in, but he wants Abby sent out of town first to protect her, or no dice. He insists that this also has to happen first--and Tracy caves.
Abby comes to Michael excited because ELQ is sending her out of town on a big business trip, and she's finally being trusted with something important! (Little does she know.....)
Meanwhile, at Windemere, Mollie is doing some Nancy Drewing when her cell rings. It's an irate Alexis, who tells her youngest daughter to get her rear over to the docks if she knows what's good for her!
Alexis comes to Windemere with Ethan, who tells the mother and daughter that he will come later and they should go home.
After they leave, Ethan finally sees the woman in the white robe who has been staying there, who turns around to meet him. And no, it's not Laura (which is who I thought it was going to be--but a blonde woman looking very much like her).
Finally we talk about Luke, who is accepting praise and condemnation for saving his grandson, but killing Jake.
Monica comes up to him and says "I hear you're a hero for saving your grandson". She slaps him HARD across the face and says "And that's for killing mine!!" before stalking away. Like I said, Monica is BACK!!
Next Luke is having to deal with Liz's anger over him taking Aidan to the hospital!! (What did you want, Liz, for Aidan to die??) Lucky is also mad at him for being at the Star with an open bottle of Scotch on the bar. He thanks his father for driving Aidan to GH, adding "don't think this is going to change anything!!" Geez, Luke can't get a break!
That's everything that happened today. Stay tuned!
