General Hospital Update for Friday, 8-Jul-2011

Things are quickly coming to a head in the Jacks vs Jacks custody battle and sadly, it's not going Carly's way; there's a new sheriff at GH--and it's not who we think! Siobhan is moving forward with her malpractice suit against GH. Busy Friday!!
Starting off at GH, Steve tells his staff that he has been told to step down as Chief of Staff; explaining that Liz's screw-up in Siobhan's surgery was just enough to put the board over the edge. (Seems like Crazy Lisa's actions didn't do it, right?)
He's taking a new position as head of ER Trauma, and has gotten the board to appoint Robin as Chief!
Patrick's male ego is out of joint and he argues with Steve, saying he's got more experience, yada, yada.
Robin assigns cases to everyone and he argues with her too, saying that an intern could do his! What a jerk!!
Anyway, while we're over at GH, Liz has gone to see Siobhan. She's asking her to drop her Malpractice Suit against GH, and tells her that she can sue her alone if needed.
Siobhan isn't buying it, and tells her that she still thinks that she had motive, which I have to agree with. The Saint Liz act is getting nowhere with the Irish Lass.
Lucky even tries to get his new wife to do it; coming to her room bringing flowers. She tells him the same thing: that Liz has always been jealous of them and saw an opportunity.
What they don't know is that Liz is standing outside of her room and has heard every word!
Leaving GH and going to court, everyone's going to the informal hearing concerning Joss's custody.
Since Alexis stepped down as Jacks's counsel, no attorneys are in the court, which proves later to be a bad thing for Carly, as we shall see.
Grace Yang, the court-appointed mediator, testifies first, and it's a slam-dunk for Jacks. Jacks 1, Carly 0.
She tells the Judge that Carly's home is not safe ("You never even visited my home!", Carly blurts out, )and that Jacks would be the better parent!!
It gets worse. Brenda gets on the stand and does her best to side-step the obvious question: is Sonny a danger to kids?
She then blurts out how she and Alec were fired on in their limo the night before, but she knew they weren't in danger, because the bullets were intended for Sonny!!!!!!!! OUCH!!!!!!!!
And if Diane had been allowed to be there, don't cha think she would have been all over THAT one?? Can we say OBJECTION, your honor??
