General Hospital Update for Friday, 1-Apr-2011

Not so much to be foolish about this April Fool's Day.
Brandon is back in Abby's life--but over Michael's dead body; Dante questions Luke about the night he fatally hit Jake; Jason visits Carly and Joss at GH, and Brenda opens birthday presents with Robin by her side. Almost forgot to mention that Lucky confides in Maxie, who is also the first person to see the finished version of "The Secret Life of Damien Spinelli" in print!
Starting off with Abby and Brandon, we see that Abby has stuck to her guns and dropped all assault charges against her ex--to protect Michael.
Brandon gets the wrong idea, however. He goes over to Abby's apartment and forces his way in. Things go from bad to worse and his ex girl-friend is soon sporting bruises on her face.
She tries to hide them from Michael when he comes over, but it's too little, too late.
Michael takes a gun over to the alley by Vaughn's and finds Brandon. He sticks a gun in Abby's attacker's face and we are left wondering what will happen next.
While this drama is happening, Dante is taking Luke's statement about the night Jake died at the Haunted Star. Lulu is also there, and she tells her father that there is no way he should be blamed, because it was an accident.
Luke gently tells his daughter that yes, he has to be blamed because he is at fault, but he was not impaired.
Dante tells everyone that there will be no charges because there is no way to prove that Luke was drunk.
Meanwhile, Lucky is over at Crimson, looking for Lulu, when he runs into Maxie. They start talking about Jake and have a very sweet conversation, ending with Maxie telling Lucky thank you, for all the kids who have had transplants, for giving Joss a second chance at life.
This is ended when Spinelli bursts in with a first copy of "The Secret Life of Damien Spinelli", (Yes, it's here), telling Maxie that she was the inspiration for it!
In the meantime, Jason is over at GH visiting Joss. He actually reads her the same book on Africa that he used to read to Michael, which is very sweet. Carly watches them, but there's no trace of Shawn, who is supposed to be the new bodyguard....
The only other item of note today was that Brenda opened birthday presents today, with Robin sitting right next to her. Happy Birthday, Mrs C!
