General Hospital Update for Friday, 25-Feb-2011

It seemed like history repeated itself today--and Sonny was left to pick up the pieces again. Jason also gets a visitor from his recent past, leaving us to wonder who REALLY is responsible for the latest tragedy to hit Port Charles?
As the day started, we see Sonny and Brenda, the happy couple, preparing to make their getaway from their wedding. Their friends are pelting them with rose petals and the limo was waiting for them. Brenda got in, and Sonny stopped for a minute to speak with Luke, when tragedy struck: a bomb went off in the limo, and Brenda was in it!!
Sonny has to be held back by Luke and Dante as he is forced to witness the car burning, and fearing that Brenda was dying inside it.
As always, there is another drama going on at the same time; this time at Carly's house. Shawn is recuperating from the injuries he suffered at the shoot-out, but is well enough to be holding a gun on Carly when Jason arrives (of course).
Jason is cleaning up this mess when he gets a call from Luke; still at the wedding, to get over to help Sonny. He leaves, after Carly tells him that she's got Shawn's gun and she will be fine. She's not, as Shawn is able to get the gun back and now he's holding the gun on Carly! Good one...
Jason goes back to the Archer Pavilion and is doing his best to help Sonny, when his phone rings with a voice he doesn't want to hear. Surprise!!!! It's FRANCO!!!!!
Talk about one of the most obvious promos ever...Franco tells Jason that he can't chat, because he's off to a big event. (He's hosting the Oscars, to be telecast on ABC this weekend, helllooo!!)Now we are left to wonder: who wired the limo: Franco or Theo?
The grim work continues at the Archer Pavilion. The firemen have to use the Jaws of Life to get Brenda out of the car. They succeed and lay the body gently on a gurney.
Sonny says that today is his wedding day and he's not leaving without his wife, and demands to see her once last time.
He tenderly opens the top part of the body bag, and is stunned to see SAM laying there!!!! As we see a stricken Jason, the obvious questions are: How did Sam get in the limo and WHERE IS BRENDA??????
Waiting with bated breath till Monday!! And don't forget to watch Franco on the Oscars!!
