I guess by now that there are those who notice my interest in issues that are psychological in nature. On General Hospital,I have cringed watching Sonny say that he has NEVER abused a woman. Surely, he must know that he does not treat women with respect. After leaving his therapeutic session with Kristina, he has deemed himself innocent of abusiveness. It makes for a dynamic teaching account because Sonny does not realize that abuse can and does take many forms. He may not have struck a woman, but he has verbally abused Carly and Claudia.I think that the therapist is trying to make Sonny realize that, perhaps, he too needs therapy. He does offer to return for a session with Kristina. Yet, she blows him off. I think that they love each other, as Michael tells Sonny.. Yet, there isn't much fatherly respect there. Sonny ,as Olivia tells him, must work to ease his own anger and pain before he can reach out to his abused daughter. Olivia is sooooo wise.When Sonny asked Carly earlier if he had abused her, she said yes. Of course, she abused him too. Sonny humiliates, intimidates, and calls women , derogatory, sordid names. Where is his respect for the woman? I think it will take lots of therapy for him to be able to own his questionable behavior and to change it. No one is perfect, as he says,but can Sonny truly see his shortcomings? Can he see why the therapist has linked him to the abusive Keifer? One does not think sooo. The moods, stories, etc. on General Hospital will change dramatically if Sonny can come to terms with his abusiveness, and his repeating it in one form or another. Krissy may be able to help him to change.
A revelation comes through when Carter, the sicko convent,tries to attack Jason with a sharp knife. Jason gets it and Carter runs. When Jason asks Michael for the truth ,he opens up. He tells him about Carter's coming onto him,but he doesn't actually say that he has raped him. He does admit to Jason that Carter beat him. Jason looks horrified sooooo one knows that he will confront bad boy Carter. Michael knows how to protect himself now since Jason taught him some moves.I guess the writers will let the viewer decide if Michael were sexually violated.This Michael is a strong 18 yr. old. One has been impressed with his courage in this HELL HOLE.
Carly is still scheming to get Brook Lynn in bed with Dante. In fact, she moves Brook into the condo across from Dante. OOPs! She will have to say that her dad is paying for her abode.She has no money.
Robin says goodbye to Patrick and Emma and leaves for Africa. She wants to help those with aids, etc. Patrick tells her that she is the most special woman he has ever known. He and Robin adore each other,but trouble is lurking in the background with Lisa.
Sam goes to see Jason . She is concerned that Johnny may be trying to cozy up to Kristina to get back at Sonny. She has warned John to stay far away from Kristina. I think this teen goes for older men sooooo. In fact, several young things like Johnny's looks sooooo. He's the one Brook would really get to know much better. HA Please tune in on Wednesday to continue with these excellent story lines..(An after thought..) For the first time ever,I heard Carly tell Jax to go after Sonny. Wow!
