General Hospital Update for Friday, 14-May-2010

Everyone in Port Charles is still dealing and reeling from the fallout from Michael's prison sentence--especially Michael! Jason is cutting a deal with Claire Walsh to get himself sent to Pentonville as Michael's cell mate--with no guarantees that he'll be released when Michael is and Jax has agreed to Carly's request that he adopt Morgan, but Sonny isn't having it! Lucky and Dante are trying to dig up dirt on squeaky-clean Judge Carroll, but don't hold your breath.
A few other items of interest today: Diane was able to get the criminal charges dropped against Alexis in Keifer's death, but now the Bauers are going OJ Simpson on her and are filing a civil suit--and Helena is taking Tracy for a ride!
Starting off with Michael's situation, we see that everyone is still working frantically to get him released. It's not a moment too soon, as Michael is already getting a taste of Pentonville's "hospitality".
He's already being harassed by the guards and other prisoners are approaching him for "friendship" by offering him the one thing that's worth its weight in gold behind bars: cigarettes.
Jason has already cut a deal with Anthony to protect Michael, but soon realizes that that's not enough. He goes to Claire with a deal: he will plead guilty to any Class D Felony, as long as he's sent to Pentonville as Michael's cellmate, so he can look out for him there.
Claire agrees, and he gets the call from her that he's been waiting for 24 hours later. This is after he's said his good-byes to Sam, Lucky and Carly. Claire does stress again with him that there are no assurances that he will be released when Michael is, so we will have to see.
Dante and Lucky are trying to dig up dirt on Judge Carroll, but based on the past record of the PCPD, I wouldn't bet the farm on it!
On to Carly. She goes to Jax with a request of her own: that he legally adopt Morgan and give him his last name, completely cutting all ties with Sonny in the process.
Jax asks hopefully if this means there's a chance that they could get back together, but Carly doesn't lead him on, saying no, and that their marriage is over.
Jax agrees to adopt Morgan, saying that he's always loved him and treated him like he's one of his own.
Carly breaks the news to Sonny, and of course he goes ballistic. He confronts Jax in his office and says it isn't happening....
On to Alexis and Diane. They had the criminal hearing for Alexis in Keifer's death today, and all charges were dropped. Alexis will have to do 1000 hours of community service (when isn't she doing community service?)
They are celebrating in Diane's office when there's a knock on the door. It's Warren Bauer, who smugly announces that he's filing a civil suit against Alexis and is going to take her to the cleaners!
Kristina comes over (after Warren's left, thank god) and overhears the part about another trial. She freaks out when she finds out that she's probably going to have to be called as a witness!
She goes over to Windemere and opens up to Nicholas about it, who tells her that he can definately fix this one!
Finally, Helena. She starts things off at GH by dissing Shirley, the cancer patient and things get worse from that point.
She decides that Tracy knows just a little too much about her scheme with the late, shady Lab Asst at GH. She lures Tracy to GH, where she has her taken hostage!! Uh-oh....
