General Hospital Update for Friday, 30-Apr-2010

If you were to ask Dante what the theme of today's episode should be, I'm sure he would say singing like a canary, as that's exactly what he did in the courtroom today! Things are really coming to head in Sonny's trial for everyone, including Michael, who has been found!
Most of the action was in court. The jury is ready to render a verdict in Sonny's murder trial, but at the last minute, Dante bursts in, saying that Michael was the one who killed Claudia and he can prove it.
Claire is immediately all over Dante, but old folksy Judge Carroll tells her to stuff it, fining her $500 for contempt in the process.
Judge Carroll brings Dante to the stand, telling the lawyers that he's not a prosecution or a defense witness, but his witness, and he's going to do the honors.
Dante then tells the court everything he knows, starting from when he flew to the Carribean to bring in Michael and when he first heard Michael's confession.
When Judge Carroll asked if he could prove it, Dante told him about the bloody shirt that Michael had. When they arrived in Port Charles, Dante took it over to the PCPD, where forensics confirmed that the blood on it matched Claudia's and Michael's DNA was on it, meaning that it was a match and Michael's story checked out.
At this point, Claire asks if she can speak and when Carroll gives permission, she blathers on about how Dante is a walking conflict of interest, yada, yada..
Judge Carroll brings Carly to the stand next, after giving her a lecture about perjury. (ya think??)
He asks her if there's anything about her previous testimony that she wants to change and she says yes.
Carly then perjures herself AGAIN on the stand, but I have to admit that these lies are closer to the truth!
She does admit that yes, Michael was in the cabin on the night Claudia was killed and the reason he had her blood on his shirt was that he knelt down by her body after he saw Sonny kneeling next to her with a baseball bat.
After Carly rambles on to the judge about how Michael has lost a year of his life to the shooting, has no impulse control, etc. (gee, she threw HIM under the bus, right?) Judge Carroll tells the court he wants Michael's medical records on his desk in the morning.
Meanwhile, on to Michael, who has made the mistake of stepping outside the Quartermaine boathouse on a beautiful Spring day--only to find Lucky waiting to bring him in!
He shares the experience of that tragic night with Lucky, who tells him gently that he still needs to bring him in.
They don't know that Jason is also hot on Michael's heels. He goes over to the Lakehouse to see Kristina, Morgan and Molly, who tell him where Michael is.
Jason runs into Michael and Lucky at the last minute outside the boathouse, and Lucky is forced to pull his gun on Jason!
And we'll have to wait till Monday to see how this one turns out!
