General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 6-Apr-2010

Gee! I can't believe how much info can be written in a script for General Hospital. Today's segment was full of revelations that were poignant , heartwarming, and heartbreaking.. Kristina has been badly beaten by Keifer for the second major time. She spills her guts to a warm , inquiring Dante. She tells him that her assailant both times was Keifer. She trusts Dante with her confession.She feels a connection with this newly discovered brother.She begs her dad and Jason not to hurt him. Sonny asks: " Why would someone want to protect the person who abused her ?" He says that his mom used to do the same thing. I wonder if Sonny realizes how traumatic this really is for a teen who was told that she was loved by this hotheaded monster? Teens want to be accepted by their peers, and apparently, Keifer was the guy girls drool over.Now, The news is out,but Kristina doesn't want to talk too much more.Wish Kris could have known that this was not love.. Alexis is really in a state of complete shock. Needless to say,I am not even sure that she knows she hit Keifer on the highway and sped away.Fortunately, a sweet Mollie and Sam see him lying there and call for help.As he lies in the hospital, his so called pillars of the community parents go ape. The doc can't operate at this point. Sadly, Keifer does die as Dr. Webber tries to save him. Today's sad scenario concludes with Alexis's look of fear and astonishment.
For background, a sympathetic Mollie listens as Kristina tells about the other times Keifer has ,in a rage, hurt her. She talks about his uncontrollable temper.It is often difficult for any teen to pull away from an abusive boyfriend. There are promises of "I will never hurt you again, etc. there is false hope" No teen should have to endure Verbal or physical abuse from her boyfriend.Kristina has so much healing to do. Physically, she will heal, but emotionally it will take time...
Ethan,on the other hand, is exonerated. Yet, the new intern gives him a bitter speech too. He tells her : " I'm Not an Animal." It's about time he is cleared. :-)Time will tell as Alexis, Kristina, Sonny , and Kiefer's parents deal with this new found problem and tragic incident. Thanks GH for telling this teen's story..
When Sonny tries to thank Dante for talking to Kris, Dante still refuses to give in to this fatherly thing. Olivia comes and Sonny speaks harshly to her. That's when a fired up Dante hits his dad.Sonny says : " MY patience is running out ." Dante says :" Bring it on and don't ever talk that way to my mother again."
