General Hospital Update for Thursday, 18-Feb-2010

On General Hospital today, one found no forgiving people especially Dante. Dante was approached by sweet ,viable actor Morgan who begged Dante not to bring their dad down. He made a valid argument,but Dante said that it was a matter of integrity. Dante, the good cop, plans to bring Sonny down with his evidence. He tells Morgan, Michael, Carly, Jason and others that he must stay true to his word. In some way, Sonny defends Dante's stance.
Elizabeth is not in a good place now. She is a broken woman who has dark visions of the men in her life. She is tormented by her sinful actions and feels totally lost without Cam and Jake. Now, she learns that she is pregnant with Lucky or Nicolas's baby. She signs herself into Shady Brook to seek help. The evil Helena comes to remind her of her "slutty behavior". She almost pushes Liz too far. Liz is petrified that she may lose her boys. She sreams : "You cannot take my baby." Helena is going to try to make her life hell now since the child may be a Cassidine heir.Nic has already sought Alexis' help to draw up papers to protect his questionable love child. He also tells Lucky that he loves Elizabeth and will ask her to marry him.
Again, Lucky feels torn about his commitment to Liz and the boys. After all, he has helped to rear these cute boys. Patrick comes to visit Liz. He comforts her in such a loving manner. He says : " You are human and humans are not perfect." Soooo very true!Patrick has a better ,more compassionate bedside manner. Perhaps in this way,Robin's empathy has rubbed off on him.
Sonny is feeling really bad about not having enough time to get to know his son Dante. He begs Olivia to help,but she says : "It's up to him .He is a grown man."Yet, we all know that ,at this point, Dante is unrelenting and unforgiving.The fact that Sonny is his dad doesn't really matter to him now.
Lucky talks to Luke about how he should handle Liz's fragility.Luke suggests that he make no promises and to let the professionals help her to get well.Even though Lucky says they will not re-unite, he still loves her.It is an endless love. Yet, how does Elizabeth truly feel?? She is accustomed to her white knight saving her from many delimmas.Yet, her true love may be neither Lucky or Nicolas.When she does get well,will she tell both brothers to beat it? Anything is possible as LIz works to forgive herself, etc.Her break down shows what can occur when a person begins to drown emotionally.Liz has played her emotional break well.
As a devoted fan of GH,I wish I could meet Carly (Laura wright) at her dad's restaurant in the tiny sea town, Calabash,NC.She and her spouse,along with her family, will host a delectable wine and dinner party for those who can attend. Since this fan lives in the coastal region, I will try to meet the fiesty Carly some day.:-)+ her dad is sooooo proud of her, and he should be.She is a superb actress.
