General Hospital Update for Friday, 12-Feb-2010

Valentine's Day is the day after tomorrow, and of course, Maxie and Lulu are getting ready for the big day with their guys!
What else happened? Dante and Nicholas both heard interesting propositions, Michael made a full confession to Mac about Claudia's murder--but Mac's reaction wasn't quite what Michael was expecting and Sonny told Carly that he would leave the country if his murder trial heated up against him.
Almost forgot to mention that it seems like Liz has finally hit bottom--and it looks like Lucky is there once again to rescue her.
We start off with Lulu and Dante. Dante is touched that Lulu is still standing by him, even though he has officially been fired from the NYPD for giving a false statement for his actions on the day Sonny shot him.
Lulu even summons Jacks to Dante's hospital room, asking him to pull strings to keep Dante on the force, saying that with everything Dante did, it's the least that Jacks should do.
Dante isn't accepting Jacks' charity and thanks the corporate raider, but says no thanks.
As Lulu leaves to make Valentine's Day preparations, Dante has another visitor. It's Mac, and he's offering him a job on the PCPD! It comes with one condition: that Dante must agree not to stand in the way of the PCPD's investigation against Sonny. Dante accepts the terms and the job is his.
On to Nicholas, who also heard an interesting proposition: from Helena, who wants him to have a baby with a woman of noble birth! (ever hear the term "a heir and a spare"? )Nick isn't so willing to accept Helena's offer, but I'm sure the crazed Cassidine Matriarch isn't giving up so quickly...
Moving over to the PCPD, Michael is there, and he's telling Mac everything about Claudia's murder, leaving no details out about how he killed his stepmother.
Mac isn't buying it!! He tells Michael about the penalties for making false confessions and adds that as a favor to him, he's going to pretend that the conversation never happened. Can't that kid ever get a break in Port Charles??
So in a nutshell, it looks like Sonny's going down for Claudia's murder--and now the PCPD wants to put Michael on the stand in the trial. Boy will they get a surprise if the kid tells the whole truth and nothing but the truth...
And speaking of the trial, Sonny finally did agree to Carly's request that yes, he would leave the country if the heat became intense. As Carly was giving him a friendly hug, Jacks walks in and makes a snide comment about Carly not wasting any time, now that she's left him...
And now for Liz. She winds up in a small country church for some alone time with God. She lights the candles and pours her heart out. We see some flashbacks from her teen-aged years with Lucky (loved the big hair..)and then Lucky is in the church. He sees her lying there; tries to wake her up, but can't...Not good!!
