A Monday full of confrontations and explanations (or attempted explanations, at least)...

Elizabeth finds Lucky drinking at Jake's and wants to have a heart-to-heart. Lucky warns her to not even try to manipulate him. Then, in a clumsy bit of foreshadowing, he tosses off the line: "Did you two use protection?" Liz wants to know if there's still reason to hope, pointing out that the bad shouldn't erase all the good times they shared, pleading with Lucky to let her try to fix this. Lucky says he's "not feeling the love." He suggests Liz try to figure out what Nikolas gave her that she needs, but she needs to do this soul-searching without his help. Liz asks what his intentions are in regards to the boys. After reminding her that she shouldn't use the children to manipulate him, Lucky says he'll get an attorney to contact her about visitation. He can barely stand to look at her. Liz reluctantly leaves. Back at home she tearfully confesses to Cameron that she made a mistake and Daddy doesn't want to be around her now but he still wants to see his boys.

At Jason's penthouse Carly comments how it's tradition that her life falls apart and she shows up at Jason's door. She tells him how Jacks knew for months about Dante's undercover cop status and put Michael at risk by encouraging the investigation into Claudia's death to go forward. She says Jacks claims he did all this to protect Michael, and he truly believes that everyone is better off with Sonny in prison. Carly is conflicted about what to do next. Should she divorce Jacks? How can she take Jocelyn's father away from her? Jason suggests she count to ten and give herself time to process things; in other words, Carly, don't do anything stupid!

At the Jacks residence a wary but calmer Michael listens to Jacks try to explain why he lied to him. Jacks points out that Sonny creates unintentional danger. How would Michael feel if his brother or sisters had to go through what he did? Jacks says the adults created this mess and they should fix it, so don't confess to Claudia's murder, Michael! Jacks says the one thing he and Sonny agree on is keeping Michael out of the mob and making sure he doesn't have to pay for Claudia's death. Unrepentant, Jacks says he'd do it all again.

At the hospital Olivia is also feeling no guilt over giving the police no reason to suspect Sonny in Dante's shooting. She tells an angry Lulu that she needs to let Dante choose how to handle this. Later in the hospital lounge Olivia has to deal with Johnny's disbelief ("are you freakin' kidding me?") that Sonny is going to get away with yet another crime. Johnny points out that now Sonny is aware he's a traitor for knowing about Dante the cop and he (Johnny) has no blood ties to protect him. He guesses Olivia never thought of that, huh?

In Dante's hospital room Sonny thanks his son for protecting him and not telling the police what really happened. Dante makes it clear to Sonny that him being his father means nothing; in fact it makes him sick to be connected to him, a man who's not fit to be anyone's father. Sonny says that Dante being his kid changes things, and he felt like they did have some real moments at times. Yeah, but you still pulled the trigger, didn't you? Dante responds. Lulu shows up and starts screaming at Sonny for being the bottom-feeding thug Tracy always says he is but worse - a murderer. Sonny makes one more lame comment about hoping he and Dante can works things out then leaves in the face of Lulu's wrath. Lulu and Dante are sharing a quiet moment when Maxie shows up, horrified that Lulu is still wearing the same dress from the day before. She sends her off to shower and change in the hospital locker room. When she has Dante alone, she asks him what his intentions are towards Lulu; are his feelings real?

Back at the penthouse Sam is enjoying holding Jocelyn. Carly watches from the stairs with (amazingly) a smile on her face. She asks Sam to watch Jocelyn and Morgan while she goes to the hospital to talk to Sonny. Jason says he needs to go there, too, to tie up some loose ends. When they get there, Carly asks him if Dante is the loose end and she says "don't do it!"

Meanwhile Olivia and Sonny are having a chat in the hospital chapel. Olivia is making no apologies for keeping Sonny away from his son all these years. She says she can live with that decision just fine, but can Sonny live with the fact that he pulled the trigger on a man who'd saved his life? She leaves and Sonny talks to God, admitting that he lives in sin but acknowledging that his kids are his one chance at redemption. As he says he's probably lost his son before he ever got a chance to love him, Carly walks in.

Back at Jake's Lucky continues to drown his sorrows. Coleman tries to cut him off, but Lucky threatens to bring in the health department. He wants to know if Nikolas and Elizabeth ever used one of the upstairs rooms at Jake's. Coleman says, "What happens at Jake's stays at Jake's." Later Johnny is also there drinking and bemoaning the fact that his sister's murder will no doubt go unsolved because of the incompetent Port Charles Police Department. He keeps egging Lucky on until Lucky pulls a gun on him.

While Lulu starts crying in the shower at the hospital, Jason shows up at Dante's room and kicks Maxie out, locking the door after her. Dante observes that the name Stone Cold is perfect for Jason. He asks if it will be a pillow over his face or maybe tampering with the machines? He can see the headlines now: Detective Falconeri survives surgery only to die in the ICU. Dante muses, "That happens, right?" Jason just looks at him menacingly ...
