General Hospital Update for Friday, 13-Nov-2009

The noose could be tightening for Sonny-but he doesn't know it yet! It was also a solemn day in Port Charles, as the anniversary of Emily's death was observed at her gravesite. Luke could get sucked back into doing mob business again and more clues about the mystery man are revealed.
We start off with Sonny. Dante recently collected ashes from Sonny's fireplace after Claudia's murder, and convinced Ronnie to send them to the police forensics lab for testing.
Ronnie informed his partner that he struck paydirt. Preliminary testing indicated that the ashes contained a fragment of a grey silk shirt that Sonny was wearing the night of the party-that contained Claudia's blood and Sonny's DNA.
Dante is now convinced that this proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Sonny killed Claudia, and tells Ronnie that all they have to do is get witnesses who will testify that they saw Sonny wearing the shirt the night of the party.
After going to Jacks with the news, Dante's bubble is burst when Jacks demands that Dante arrest Sonny immediately! And part of this conversation is overheard by Carly (of course). Not good...
Moving on to Michael Corinthos the third...Carly is now convinced (and with good reason) that her oldest son is in serious trouble, and is starting to think that going to a lawyer would not be a bad idea. Believe or not, Jacks nixes it! Can't wait to see how this one turns out...
On to other business. Today is the anniversary of Emily's death, and Nick, Lucky and Liz all bring flowers separately to the Quartermaine crypt where she is buried.
Nick and Liz pour their hearts out to her about their affair--which is still simmering, and it sounds like Liz can't stop it! It seemed like she almost told Rebecca the truth at the hospital when they got into their fight and Rebecca told her that she was the woman in Nick's bed!
On to Luke, who agrees to go to Zacharra soldier Joey for Sonny to see what he's all about--but reminds Sonny that he's "Switzerland--neutral". I hate to see Luke get involved in this stuff again. Shades of Frank Smith....
And finally, yet more clues about the mystery man soon coming to Port Charles. There is the same eerie music playing in the background, but now there are pictures of Claudia's murder scene--with her body traced in chalk! There has to be some connection....
