There must be something in the water.
In a growing epidemic of obtuse in Port Charles, three more residents have been stricken.
The first victim is Lulu.
After finding a melancholy Dante playing stickball off the waterfront dock, Dante lets Lulu in on some of his history. He relates how while growing up, his father figure was murdered in a mob hit, causing him much hate and disgust at the power that organized crime has over a fearful community. Lulu having seen Dante in possession of a police badge mere days ago, puts 2 and 2 together and gets 5?!? Somehow Lulu manages to by-pass the most obvious conclusion and provides Dante with a cover story of using Sonny's organization to exact his revenge.
The second resident stricken is Sonny.
A mobster of the highest order, who worked his way to the top through cunning instincts and an unwavering ability to read those around him. The same Sonny who can't see the evil in his own bed: After finding Claudia at the Metro Court in possession of a room key, he effortlessly allows her to concoct a half baked story of renting a room for Johnny's recovery. Are we to believe that Sonny is blinded by his guilt over the death of their unborn baby? It would seem that when the truth comes out, Sonny will have no one to blame but himself.
And the fist place prize goes to poor Lucky. A man so inappropriately named it's not even funny anymore.
Lucky runs across Sam lurking in the PCPD evidence storage room. Without a single thought to evidence tampering or the potential legal ramifications of having an evidence storage room that seems essentially "open to the public", Lucky laps up Sam's story of looking for an accident report. Because yes, breaking into a secure Police storage facility wearing 3 inch heels is much less work than mailing in a written request for a copy of a police report. Lucky then takes Sam on an awkward stumble down memory lane with Jason standing inches away. Jason learns for the first time that Lucky and Elizabeth are to be wed for the 42nd time. Lucky then kindly offers to escort Sam safely out of the storage locker...hey Detective Spencer, ever think to ask her how she got in there in the first place? Wouldn't want to plug that hole or anything.
Now onto other happening in our beloved port town.
*Patrick comes home from Karaoke with Louise in tow. They find Robin, (AKA Space Xena), splayed out on the sofa and ready for a night of passion. Robin is mortified, Patrick is dumbfounded and Louise...well, she decides to stay for some chinese food and a chat? In all this readers, I have to say that if I looked like Robin in that outfit after having my kids, I'd wear it every day. You'd see me at the grocery store with it on!
*Johnny finds Olivia sitting outside Jake's in tears. We are witness to another gut wrenching scene where Johnny pleads with Olivia to come clean and renew their relationship. His pain was so palpable, that yes, I teared up too. I love Brandon Barash, he does a bang up job of working the complicated angles of Johnny Zacharra.
Well readers that it for me today. Hope you enjoyed the update.
