General Hospital Update for Friday, 10-Jul-2009

And it's Kareoke Night at Jake's! And no, Spinelli hasn't sung (yet). Anthony Zacharra makes an appearance from prison (welcome BACK Bruce Weitz, YAY), Jason gets out of the slammer (for the upteenth time) and Dante Falconeri meets his father (but he doesn't know it). All in all, just a typical July Friday in Port Charles.
We start off at Jake's, where Spinelli's in a pickle. He's ready to serenade his Maxinista with his pitch-correcting mike. The only problem is that it got tossed in a pitcher of beer, and now it's useless.
While he's figuring out what to do and how to do it, Coleman begs Patrick and Robin to get on stage--and do they come through in spades!
They get the party started with a sizzling rendition of "The Time of My Life", and do some "Dirty Dancing" of their own onstage.
Robin was so-so, but wow, Patrick's got some pipes! I have a feeling that that boy's going to be on stage again!
As the doctor duo was being cheered on by the crowd, including Diane and Max, Jason was being busted out of the slammer at the PCPD.
Diane had asked him to stay in lockup for a week as a favor to Alexis, who is holding on to her job by a banana peel right now.
Both lady lawyers were suprised when a new ADA came in and announced that Alexis was off the case, due to her Mayor Floyd troubles.
My girl Diane wasted no time in going for the new lady lawyer's jugular, starting in with her choice of footwear and having it go downhill from there. Go Diane!!
Anyway, Jason was out of there and got a phone call--showing up at the State Pen to see Anthony!
Bruce Weitz as Anthony was in full crazy mode, and noone does it better. He told Jason that he had information that could save his life--possibly about Dante Falconeri??
Anyway, Dante has been trying to get into Sonny's organization, actually showing up at his house. (He didn't know he was meeting Daddy, right?)
When Carly called him out as the one who grabbed her and the boys in the woods, Sonny gave him minutes to get out of there. Doesn't sound like he was going to be hired anytime soon...
That was all that happened today. It will only get hotter, I know!
