General Hospital Update for Friday, 12-Jun-2009

It was a day of homecomings in Port Charles today--but sadly, neither one of them turned out well. It also looks like Matt is going to see the inside of a courtroom, sooner than he would like to, and Kristina might be right behind him!
The only other item of note to happen was that Maxie and Lulu, with the help of Jackal PI, finally found out why Kate was leaking Crimson layouts to Giselle.
Let's start off with the homecomings we saw today: Michael's and Claudia's.
Michael was discharged from GH today and went home with Carly. He came home to a celebration, complete with balloons and a Welcome Home banner painted by Morgan.
Morgan and Jax met him in their karate uniforms and went off to their karate class soon after; leaving Michael alone with Carly.
It went from bad to worse at that point, as Michael raged against his mother, saying that he should be living with Sonny.
He stormed out of the house--and right into Kristina's waiting car.
Kristina, still smarting over being caught with a joint at GH by Jason, smugly tells her cousin that everything's OK--she's got her learner's permit!
Things rapidly go downhill, when the two cousins promptly get into a car accident!
On to Claudia. She was told by Dr. Lee that her baby is still healthy, but the increasing stress in her life will not be good for her pregnancy, which is something she doesn't want to hear.
Claudia comes home--and walks right in on Olivia sharing her doubts with Sonny over the paternity of her baby!
After the expected cat fight, Sonny tells Claudia that if she wants to move out, he won't stand in her way.
Claudia decides to move out, and we see her leaving her housekey on the mantel. I bet she checks into the Metrocourt...
Now back at GH, Matt is in the OR, trying to prove something to himself and his brother. Sadly, things also went from bad to worse.
Matt is operating on Brianna Hughes, Mayor Floyd's mistress. He's doing brain surgery on her, after she was brought in after falling and landing on her head.
She develops cardiac complications and dies in surgery. Matt is devastated, and brushes off Patrick and Robin when they try and comfort him.
However, Diane Miller isn't so easy to set aside. She comes to GH, telling him that the Hughes family has hired her and intend to sue him for malpractice! Not good for Dr. Matt...
Finally, Jackal PI's latest case. Spinelli hooks up with Maxie and Lulu at the Spa, in time for Kate's usual appointment.
Spinelli goes above and beyond the call of duty, actually getting a full-body waxing!! But all this is over in time for the trio to listen outside Kate's treatment room door, where they overhear Giselle from Couture telling Kate that she's going to continue to blackmail her over the secrets behind Crimson's funding!!
Now this is one secret that will be fun to come out...and we'll have to wait till Monday!
